


The original alcoholic beverage licenses are held in the Business License Office until a state alcoholic beverage license is obtained by the business and a copy of the state license is brought to the Business License Office. Upon approval, a copy of the alcoholic beverage licenses may be obtained from the Business License Office. All new Alcoholic Beverage License applications are reviewed by the City Manager on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Please contact Nicole Oddi, Permits & ID Technician with the Marietta Police Department, at 77, to schedule the background check. Upon submission of the alcoholic beverage application, the applicant, owners and agent will undergo a background check by the Marietta Police Department.

Please bring the application, affidavits, documents, identification and payment in certified funds to the Business License Office located at 205 Lawrence Street, Marietta, GA.

License fees are based on annual gross receipts or the number of employees, whichever is greater. In addition, the applicant must complete notarized affidavits (Affidavit Verifying Status and Private Employer Affidavit), Home-Based Business Acknowledgement Form (for businesses operating out of a residence) and provide copies of appropriate identification. Most businesses will need to complete an application for a General Business License.
